Mike Brown - Bass guitarist and backing vocals

Mike has been playing guitar for his own pleasure and entertainment since he was in his teens but took up the bass guitar in the early nineties when - in the pub one night - as you do!, a few of the locals decided to form a band for thier own entertainment, not to go gigging. However, following a sunday afternoon session a few weeks later, he was approached by a drummer he knew who asked if he would like to join him and a couple of others to form a Country Rock four piece doing the pub/club circuit in the North East of England. And that was his introduction to live performing.

As well as providing backing vocals, Mike is also the “technician” for the band looking after the sound systems, power and lighting etc.

Mike's musical influences are wide ranging, listening to everything from seventies prog rock (Yes, Mike Oldfield etc.) to bands like Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac and many other bands/musicians/genres over the years.

On stage, he usually uses his Ibanez BTB675 five string bass which goes through a BOSS ME50B effects board into a TC Electronics RH750 bass head and TC Electronic RS210 and RS212 cabinets.
